Most tourists come to Prague for the famous sights — the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge or Prague Castle.

But Prague is also about taste. ✨

Czech desserts are cozy, delicious and best enjoyed slowly with good coffee in one of Prague’s beautiful cafés. 😊

1. Kremrole

Light, crispy pastry filled with sweet vanilla cream. Dangerous because one is never enough.😂

👉 I especially recommend trying it in Café Platýz together with one of their amazing coffees or a homemade lemonade during these hot summer days. ☀️☕

✨ I never really liked kremrole as a child. 🙈 But after trying this fresh homemade one in Café Platýz. I completely changed my mind. 😊 Now it’s one of my favorite sweet stops in Prague. ☕

🇮🇹 Many Italian visitors tell me it reminds them of their famous cannoli — but some of them even say Czech kremrole has a richer and creamier taste. 😉

2. Apple Strudel 🍎

Strudel with apple, cinnamon, raisins and nuts is one of the most classic desserts you can try in Prague — especially beautiful during colder days or rainy afternoons.

👉 My favorite place for strudel is stall number 27 at Havelská Market, where they offer several delicious kinds of strudel, not only the classic apple one. And if you love beautiful historic cafés, Café Louvre is a wonderful Art Nouveau café once visited by Albert Einstein himself. ☕

✨ In many Czech families, homemade apple strudel is a classic weekend dessert baked by grandmothers and mothers for generations. 😊 Apple strudel with cinnamon immediately feels like home. ☕🍎

3. Buchtičky se šodó ❤️

Soft sweet buns with warm vanilla sauce — one of the most traditional Czech desserts and one of our childhood favorites.

👉 I recommend trying them in Antonínovo pekařství, where you can also taste many other wonderful Czech buns and koláče. 😊

✨ Many Czech children grow up loving buchtičky se šodó in school cafeterias and kindergartens. 😊

For years, this dessert almost disappeared from menus, but recently some cafés and bakeries started bringing it back again. ❤️

It looks like a huge portion… somehow the plate becomes empty very quickly.😂

👉🏻 Prague is not only about history.❤️

It is also about atmosphere, taste and small moments you remember later. ✨

If you visit Prague, don’t forget to slow down for coffee and dessert at least once. 😊
